We thoughtfully evaluate existing pieces and incorporate antiques, heirlooms, or furnishings when they support the overall design vision. Our priority is to create a cohesive and refined interior, ensuring every element contributes intentionally to the final result.

For quality control and logistical coordination, all furnishings are delivered to our receiving warehouse for inspection and storage prior to installation. This ensures items arrive in excellent condition and allows for a seamless, white-glove installation experience.

Yes. Katie Walker holds NCIDQ certification and is licensed by the Florida State Board of Architecture and Interior Design.  Slate Studios carries comprehensive insurance coverage, including professional and general liability, along with additional policies appropriate for full-service residential projects.

Slate Studios is based in Tampa Bay and works throughout Florida’s coastal communities, including Sarasota, Naples, and Palm Beach. We also take on select projects nationwide.  We travel to our clients and collaborate closely on-site as needed, ensuring a seamless and fully supported design experience.

The earlier, the better. We are ideally brought in during the architectural planning phase or early in the renovation process to ensure a cohesive and fully integrated design from the outset.
