Created as an exploration of elevated urban living, this conceptual residence imagines a sophisticated retreat high above downtown Tampa. Designed for a couple who values art, travel, entertaining, and collected pieces with a story, the interiors balance the energy of city life with the warmth and comfort of home. Natural stone, rich woods, vintage influences, and expressive textures are layered throughout, while thoughtful space planning maximizes every square foot. The result is our interpretation of modern condo living, refined, personal, and designed to feel collected over time.

The bedroom is enveloped in a richly textured wood veneer wallcovering by Phillip Jeffries, bringing warmth and architectural depth to the space. Applied in a coffered pattern, the wallcovering creates a sense of structure while maintaining the quiet, organic quality of the design. The result is a warm, cocooning retreat that feels both timeless and contemporary.

In condo living, luxury isn’t about having endless square footage, it’s about making every inch work beautifully. Thoughtful space planning, multifunctional furnishings, integrated storage, and carefully considered proportions allow a smaller footprint to feel both expansive and effortless. Throughout this conceptual residence, every design decision was made with purpose, proving that living beautifully never has to depend on living larger.

Arabescato Grigio marble takes center stage in the bathroom, with dramatic veining and natural movement that make each slab feel like a work of art. Rather than compete with the stone, the surrounding finishes were intentionally restrained, allowing the Italian marble to define the palette and become the focal point of the space.

With the energy of the city just beyond their doorstep, the condo was imagined as both a reflection of its vibrant surroundings and a retreat from them. Designed for evenings spent entertaining, exploring the neighborhood, or simply unwinding at home, the interiors balance the excitement of urban living with the comfort and calm of a personal sanctuary.

In a condo kitchen, every inch has to work hard without feeling overdesigned. Rather than disguising an unavoidable structural column, we embraced it as a design feature, cladding it in stone and allowing it to become an intentional architectural moment. Cerused oak cabinetry brings warmth and texture, while porcelain countertops offer a refined, durable surface for everyday living and entertaining. Storage was integrated into every available opportunity, creating a highly functional kitchen that feels considered, sophisticated, and remarkably effortless within its compact footprint.

The design direction began with the idea of a home shaped by a life well traveled and pieces collected over time. Heirloom artwork, a vintage Brutalist coffee table, antiques, and expressive color became the foundation for an interior that feels layered rather than newly assembled. Natural materials and contemporary forms balance these collected elements, creating a home equally suited to cooking and entertaining with friends or settling in for a quiet evening at home.

A layered home feels as though it has evolved over time. Vintage-inspired furnishings, sculptural objects, expressive patterns, varied wood tones, and natural stone come together without feeling overly coordinated. Each element brings its own character, creating an interior that feels collected, soulful, and deeply personal rather than simply decorated.

A custom three-dimensional oak paneled wall, envisioned for fabrication by a local master carpenter, brings warmth, texture, and architectural interest to the living room. Integrated lighting accentuates the dimensional pattern, allowing light and shadow to transform the millwork throughout the day. More than a backdrop, the feature wall becomes a sculptural element in its own right.

In a smaller footprint, every proportion matters. Furnishings were carefully scaled to create a layered, collected interior without overwhelming the rooms, while cabinetry and millwork extend to the ceiling to draw the eye upward and emphasize height. The result is a home that feels rich with detail yet visually calm, proving that thoughtful design can make even a compact space feel expansive.

In condo living, thoughtful design becomes even more important when every square foot matters. Throughout this concept, spaces and furnishings were designed to serve more than one purpose, a dining banquette doubles as lounge seating, an office built-in conceals a Murphy bed, and storage is integrated into unexpected places, from kitchen toe-kicks and counter overhangs to a pantry disguised within the entry wall. The result is a home that lives far beyond its footprint, proving that luxury isn’t measured in square footage, but in how beautifully and effortlessly a space supports the way you live.
